What Is in the NoDrop Technician Set?

Four Models Cover Two Decisions

The NoDrop Technician Set contains S3, S6, P3, and P6 in a clamshell case. Pick a driver by answering two questions: What head is on the screw? and How much room do you have to work?

Choosing Among the Four Models

  • S3: Slotted and combination heads; 3-inch format; best when handle clearance is limited.
  • S6: Slotted and combination heads; 6-inch format; use when the longer model has room.
  • P3: Phillips and small slotted heads; 3-inch format; best when handle clearance is limited.
  • P6: Phillips and small slotted heads; 6-inch format; use when the longer model has room.

The set’s published screw-size range is #4 through 1/4 inch. The screw’s actual head must still match the metal tips. The set does not include the 10-inch S10 or P10; those appear in the separately listed 10-inch Screw Holding Screwdriver Set.

How the Four Holders Work

After selecting the right model, seat its metal tips in the screw head. Move the handle forward to engage the holding mechanism, and verify retention over a safe surface.

Guide the screw into the hole and start it gently. Press the release rod once the threads hold the screw in place, then switch to an appropriate tool for final tightening according to the equipment instructions.

For removal, loosen a tight fastener with an appropriate driver first. Use the matching NoDrop tool to control the screw as it clears its final threads. This matters most where a free screw would be awkward to catch or retrieve.

Who Should Choose This Set?

Choose the Technician Set if you encounter both Phillips and slotted/combination screws and work in both shorter and medium-clearance spaces.

If most jobs call for a single head type and length, a single driver may be the simpler purchase. If you only need both head types in a 6-inch format, compare the 6-inch Combo Set.

Safety and Limits

The product page does not give the set an electrical insulation rating. Use your electrical safety procedure and appropriately rated tools when the task requires them.

NoDrop explicitly excludes final torquing.

Quick Answer: Is a Case Included?

Yes. The Technician Set listing specifies a clamshell case along with the four drivers.
